FIRST POSTED ON THE HOME PAGE: SEPT 27, 2006:

SIMON CERIGO’S got the first buzz on the upcoming FALL 2006 AUCTIONS …

… he reports that there’s early excitement over word that a KAREN KILIMNIK PORTRAIT
is coming up at auction, at one of the NYC auction houses – this FALL … with a
guaranteed seller’s tag of : $500,000 !! – that’s half a million bucks & a record for her.
Supposedly her portraits go for higher prices than the still-life paintings …

MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW …

UP-DATE – OCT 25, 2006:

Simon reports that the auction house involved is PHILLIPS de PURY & CO.
The piece is said to be “terrifically beautiful”, but the guaranteed seller’s tag
(which seems NOT to be of public domain) is not quite that high, .. though its
…”definitely up there.”

artlovers will post more auction info and a scan of the KILIMNIK piece when the auction catalog becomes available.
