‘in the end, the endless line’ (exploring the science of love)
was curated by LIZ HALEY, pictured above in front of her large wall
projection, which is also the image on the show’s card. This image projected onto a wall, within a mini-gallery ‘alcove’ – was large and stationary. It’s poetic mystery was enhanced by a real wood burning stove and a huge white bear rug on the floor under it, on which guests could huddle and roll around.
LIZ HALEY is visiting from Oregon.
more photos of the LIZ HALEY installation, the show, and the band, EFFI BRIEST ( scroll down)
the show is up til April 28, SECRET PROJECT ROBOT, BROOKLYN.

. . . the card for: ‘BIG KIDS LITTLE KIDS’ by JOHN FREEBORN
from the back of the card:
” Big Kids/Little Kids chronicles the first 8 years of the newly emerging contemporary art movement in Philadelphia. It features artists from SPACE 1026, 1Pixel, 222gallery, and Spector (the galleries that have supported this energy) and artists from outside of Philly who have shown in these spaces by shaping and being influenced by this scene.
The book showcases the artwork and asks some simple questions of each artist.
JOHN FREEBORN, one of the founders of SPACE1026, tells
the story through his viewpoint, guiding you through the multi-layered
connections that have helped fuel a new generation of artists from the city of brotherly love.”
