the opening was fab. it’s always fun to be around Tomoo. plus it was really exciting because all the pieces, all pretty much large canvases – were new – and a big departure from his last show – in that, unlike last March – where the canvases were hand-painted and gestural – with many tonalities of gray, as well as black and white – these new works – were starkly and glossily only black and white – the images achieved with spray paint and stencil !! Tomoo has been enjoying much recent international success – and the opening attracted a wide media presence, from TIME OUT to ART FORUM.<\/p>\n
