great little face, or what ? looked like a time-piece, a clock face &#8211; for some strange reason. too.<br \/>\nmore like the man-in-the-moon, than the &#8216;honeymooners&#8217;. more mechanical, and sweet than human.<br \/>\nfor sure. more old school than sci-fi, no ?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-7.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"skewville-#-7\" width=\"648\" height=\"486\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6095\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-7.jpg 648w, https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-7-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>loved the &#8216;syringe&#8217; effect, too. spoke to NYC grit . . . and &#8216;survival&#8217; &#8211;  between the lines. <\/p>\n<p>life above the grid &#8211; being managed by the skyline, itself !! like some run-away RICHARD SCARRY book.<\/p>\n<p>it kinda looked like the bridge &#8216;hand&#8217; &#8211;  was throwing the needle away ?<br \/>\nor was it placing a building into the grid ?<br \/>\nno matter, how you took it &#8211;  it spoke to New York, and its resilient, not to mention &#8211; landmark-loving denizens !!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"skewville-#-8\" width=\"648\" height=\"486\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6098\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-8.jpg 648w, https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-8-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>passersby were also digging the yellow plane &#8211; a sky-writer, for sure.<br \/>\nthe primary colors were trademark &#8211; SKEWVILLE.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-9.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-9.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"skewville-#-9\" width=\"648\" height=\"486\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6100\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-9.jpg 648w, https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-9-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>AD DEVILLE running some finishing touches along the mural&#8217;s  lower length . . .<br \/>\nSKEWVILLE  . . .  also did the seriously fab &#8211; shark fin border &#8211; at the bottom edge . . . <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-10-sneakers-aga.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-10-sneakers-aga.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"skewville-#-10-sneakers-aga\" width=\"648\" height=\"486\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6102\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-10-sneakers-aga.jpg 648w, https:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/skewville-10-sneakers-aga-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>you can look down the street toward the East River and see the Manhattan skyline &#8211; just beyond !!<br \/>\nthat&#8217;s also where that &#8216;needle&#8217; inspiration &#8211; comes from. those old-school city skyscrapers !!<br \/>\nI guess those are SKEWVILLE sneakers, hanging from the old overhead wires !!<br \/>\n. . . and, there&#8217;s even &#8211; an American flag blowing in the wind !!  a little bit of ole glory red, white and blue.<br \/>\nagainst the golden spires and hot, hazy horizon.<br \/>\nLAST EXIT TO SKEWVILLE . . .
