KATHERINE BERNHARDT was recently invited to do a real fun gig for CHANEL, here in NYC.
\nSHE was the ‘guest of honor’ for – the launch party – for the new CHANEL – JMT – watch, . . with artworks by Katherine Bernhardt – ‘inspired by time’ – and – ‘featuring paintings – of KARL LAGERFIELD, COCO CHANEL, watches, constellations, and (her signature) – sexy women paintings’; and a limited edition print – she made, specially for the occasion.<\/p>\n

Katherine tells us – the print said in spray paint: ‘Fashion Fades, Style Remains’ – a quote from COCO – and then adds, in her indisputably unique way – “she actually said: ‘fashion fades only style remains the same’ – I am not allowed to reproduce or use any of the images ever again ever! according to their legal department. and the screenprint was not supposed to be made either. oh, and I got to wear the new watch during the opening, but had to take it off after the event – !! – at the uptown store 64th and Madison Avenue, on Oct 19, 2007” – . . . if you don’t like the edge<\/em>, don’t mess with a NYC artist !!!! esp one who can rap !!<\/p>\n
