above image – the email invite for: THE WU-TANG \/ googolplex GROUP SHOW – a huge group show curated by DARREN BADER, which opened (last nite) SEPT 25, 2007 at GGBE@Passrby – 436 WEST 15Th ST – MICHAEL CAPUTO \/ BRIAN BELOTT & BRENDAN CASS are just a few of the artists in the show. supposedly its a really big ‘rockin’ survey show & each artist gets to be represented by one work in the show. heard RAMBO, BORIS RASIN & KATHERINE BERNHARDT are alsoin the show. so does JOHN TREMBLAY – the big yellow panels are his. … according to you-know-who- MR. BIG MOUTH KNOW-IT-ALL (S.C.) – who was there of course – (if your hot – we got you covered, one way or the other, at artlovers) . . . everybody<\/em> was sucking up to the RIVINGTON ARMS\/BRICE MARDEN SILVER SPOON SPAWN – “she doesn’t need artlovers – she’s in VOGUE” – S.B. – (if it ain’t JEANNE GREENBERG) – IT’S MIRABELLE MARDEN – CRAWLING UP THE ART WORLD CAN BE SUCH AN UGLY SPECTATOR<\/em> SPORT !!<\/p>\n EARLY BUZZ – is that this is the FINAL YEAR for PASSERBY – AND GAVIN BROWN WANTS IT TO FLAME OUT – ONE LAST TIME !!<\/p>\n BUZZ ALSO HAS … GAVIN opening a new space in LA with 2 partners – who specialize in the secondary market & who have very deep pockets !! SIMON CERIGO reports that it’s rumored – that’s rumored!!<\/em> that DOMINIQUE LEVY & ROBERT MNUCHIN of L & M GALLERY<\/a> – will be his new LA gallery space backers. L & M is a very.. “well-funded” gallery on the upper East Side.<\/p>\n and for those of you who are interested … HOPE ATHERTON is said to be Gavin’s latest squeeze.<\/p>\n … actually come to think of it – I actually even heard, once, that GBE had a quote unquote .. …so where was artlovers, to pass on this mutual mass love fest – JOSH HARRIS was in town, for a few days – and threw a wonderful dinner party – hosted by APERTURE PHOTOGRAPHER DONNA FERRATO – who served up some of the best & absolutely the most elegant home cooking – with free-flowing refreshments – that we’ve seen in a long time – and we party a lot – it was great fun, great food & a PAYING GIG !! – TO BOOT !!! <\/p>\n P.S. TALKING ABOUT GBE – we hear ROB PRUITT DRESSED UP AS ONE OF HIS SIGNATURE PANDA BEARS – AT THE RECENT LONDON FRIEZE ART FAIR !!!<\/p>\n
