. . . JOSH HARRIS flew into New York from L.A. for 3 days and managed to throw a re-union party (of sorts…) hosted by APERTURE PHOTOGRAPHER, DONNA FERRATO. The food was home cooked and wonderful, her TRIBECA loft was gracious, but most entertaining of all, DONNA had some of her archival photos from QUIET and … WE LIVE IN PUBLIC on display, as well as some archival newspaper clippings, etc.
\nQUIET was JOSH’S (dot com funded) MILLENNIUM CELEBRATION PARTY, involving 90+ artists who lived in a group of buildings on Lower Broadway, for 2 weeks (JAN 2000) – and – WE LIVE In PUBLIC – was his follow-up – the (2001) 24\/7 SURVEILLANCE TAKE .. (on what was to be his crash) on his loft & its ‘happenings’, on PRINCE & BROADWAY.
\nCoincidently JOSH HARRIS, ‘gun runner’, and BASQUIAT FAKER, ALFREDO MARTINEZ was also in town for a few days, before he flew back to China. He brought over the newest generation to hook-up with JOSH, the boys from THE CANAL CHAPTER. The only consensus in the place – was the commonly held wonderment of what it would be like to be an unwitting passenger on the long plane rides – that ferry Alfredo back & forth to China !!!<\/p>\n

P.S. DONNA FERRATO is more typically known for her “landmark” photo documentation of domestic violence and spousal abuse issues – so its great, to blow her cover & see “the wild” side of her photographic talents.<\/p>\n
