and, way deep in meanings, too . .<br \/>\nmortality, death, vanity of earthly life &#038; the &#8220;transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits&#8221; \/ google<br \/>\na reflection on: eternity in a deep, strong ancestral way. a strong bond, maybe even unto death.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tamara-Santibanez-big-Ringer.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tamara-Santibanez-big-Ringer.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40039\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nTAMARA SANTIBANEZ, &#8216;Ring&#8217;, 2019.<br \/>\nPolymer clay, acrylic paint \/ 5x 3.5 in.<\/p>\n<p>picture that \/ upright, on <strong>your<\/strong> engagement finger.<br \/>\nit&#8217;s also so easy &#8211;  to break a marriage \/ slightly chip a sharp point, and each time &#8211;  more of the bond<br \/>\n . . chips away.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Antone-Konst-Big-Ringer.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Antone-Konst-Big-Ringer.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40040\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nANTONE KONST, &#8216;Strong Ring&#8217;, 2019.<br \/>\nAirplane wire (steel), acrylic. \/ 1 x 1 in.<br \/>\nall love should only be so strong, and stay, so . .  tender.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-Big-ringer.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-Big-ringer.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40042\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nTHOM COWAN, &#8216;Partners&#8217;, 2019.<br \/>\nClay, coral, acrylic, and wire \/ 7.5 x 7 in.<br \/>\nTHOM COWAN&#8217;S &#8216;ring&#8217; . .  covered all the bases, &#8216;partners&#8217; going through cycles,<br \/>\nand ups-and- downs . . is pretty much it.<br \/>\nit helps to have some &#8211; playfulness. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-Partners-ring.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-Partners-ring.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40043\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nhis piece reminded me of ANTONE KONST&#8217;S  . . recent, over-size &#8216;FREE PEDDLER&#8217; sculpture at Socrates Sculpture Park \/ Annual 2018. in the loopy-ness of form, and the sense of inner weariness, even though the story seems playful, the craziness of biology, reproduction, and the animal world in general.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-ball-chain.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-ball-chain.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40044\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nthen, there&#8217;s that . .  &#8216;ball &#038; chain&#8217;.<br \/>\nThe &#8216;Free Peddler&#8217; . .  <strong>also<\/strong> had that sense of being &#8216;chained to a situation&#8217;, a life of endless trekking \/ hawking trinkets and wares, even if the exchange was free.<br \/>\nthe word: FABLE comes to mind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-at-Big-ringer.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Thom-Cowan-at-Big-ringer.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1056\" height=\"792\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40045\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nTHOM COWAN .  .<br \/>\nat the opening with his piece, to the top \/ left side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Doug-Young-Big-Ringer.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artloversnewyork.com\/zine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Doug-Young-Big-Ringer.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40046\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nthat other piece above, is by . .
