\na ‘cut-out’ paper collage \/ riffing on both:
\nJapanese Edo Period woodblock prints & contemporary Japanese love for all things, folk art & esp. ‘Americana’.<\/p>\n

I cut-out images from a vintage, kid’s ‘Japanese Art’ coloring book !!
\n& flowers are cut-out from standard issue – Garden Catalogs.
\nSigned & dated, March 2019. 9 x 11 in.<\/p>\n

\nyou had to be quick, the moment you put something down, in hesitation, it was gone.
\nand then you felt real bad, as it walked away – to another home !!<\/p>\n

ps: you could also, in a blink: turn around, and come face-to-face . . with the main exhibit.<\/p>\n

\nthe space between the tables, laden with GIFC !!
\nand, the formal exhibit walls – was excitingly, perilously – lit purple, and very narrow.<\/p>\n

\nI hadn’t really noticed til then – that THE HOLE gallery walls, were actually ’rounded’ where they meet the floor.
\na way to break down that . . White Cube ?
\nvery very nice.<\/p>\n

\nI mean, seriously: rounded corners, too.<\/p>\n

\nand seriously, you could turn around & look at the exhibit too.
