the publication was remarkable for many reasons, above all . . it was so humble.
\nand, more than above all \/ the resonance it had . . with Dan’s work & mind.
\nnailed it. nailed it. nailed it.
\nbut, also the whole production – was so tip-top \/ on-point.
\nfrom the fonts, the strange neutral color of the cover, the faux notebook pages inside \/ incl a faux ‘spiral bound’ notebook graphic – running through the center, inside.
\nfrom the lay-out to the finished effort \/ a great faux ‘how-to’ manual feel, and the weight of the softcover ‘book’. .
\nin your hands – sensuous, imminently readable. the very definition of page turner, for sure.
\none of my most treasured possessions. for sure.<\/p>\n

\nit was a copy of this ‘zine’ – that so<\/strong> inspired ALINA COHEN’S, <\/strong> insightful text on the Martos Gallery Booth, featuring DAN ASHER works, at the FRIEZE ART FAIR NYC 2018 – in artsy.<\/p>\n

whose last sentence, re: the ‘zine’ – bears repeating:

\nhe came over, and said: “wow – is that a Dan Asher”, and so dot dot dot !!
\nhe knew the work, from his association with . . Jose Martos !!
\nduh.
\nthe city that never sleeps, never<\/strong> ceases to amaze me.<\/p>\n

it’s like Hansel and Gretel, following breadcrumbs – more than you would ever guess.
\nthough I guess a a big city, and big forest are almost – one and the same.<\/p>\n
