\nand some very inventive, truly ‘alternative’ viewing ‘venues’ & platforms,
\ntiny living rooms, degraded pay phone booths, a dingy Hunter basement office, to raw Chinatown studios, and the fall-back \/ empty storefront pop-ups !!
\nand, even just some plain ole, solely . . web-archived, or Instagram one-liners !!<\/p>\n

but, let’s not <\/strong>forget the ‘heady’ culture of the galleries – run by artist collectives !!
\nincluding, in some cases (Off White Columns), e.g, a single artist-director\/curator on IG.
\nbut, he’s \/ they . . are engaging a community, around them.
\nwhere the members all chip in to run their spaces, but more importantly share a huge combustible curatorial spark of collaboration, new thoughts bouncing off each other, this way & that \/ resulting in some of the city’s very best and freshest, cutting edge art !!

the premise of this show is that, “each member of ESSEX FLOWERS selected one work by one member active in a fellow artist-run organization”, and put they packed up, and put the work into a truck . . and drove it to Chicago !!
