\n‘TSUNAMINAGASHI: MARBLING WORKSHOP with STO LEN’
\nSTO . .
\nwill be giving a workshop on ‘Suminagashi’ or ‘floating Ink’ – a paper marbling process that originated in Japan with the Shinto monks in the 12th Century. this process produces unique, or one-of-a-kind \/ mono-prints by painting patterns directly<\/strong> onto the surface of the water with ink, laying down a piece of paper on top, & then removing after a few seconds.
\nSTO will also give a talk about his own ‘marbling’ explorations both in the studio, and on-site \/ as in: on water in a boat !!
\n“he will then guide us through the process, where we will make multiple prints on paper.”<\/p>\n
