an amazing young draftsman with an amazing inner world and a head full of fantasy and myth-making imagination – we first caught up with CASEY JEX SMITH, who comes to us with a Mormon background !! – at his one person show – ‘Gird Your Elves, and be Broken in Pieces’ – last summer, 2009 – at the Allegra LaViola Gallery, then called – LaVIOLA BANK. the show included character cards, mythical complex drawings of a large scale, and some intense Mormon-based vintage bible illustration collages !!<\/p>\n
