this photo looks to be from a series of photos taken while Alfredo was an ‘artist-in-residence’ … in China.
\nthere are a few more photos in the post. you got to admit the gun is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, handmade and scavenged from spare parts, the ‘arc’ of the gun is … spectacular.
\nthe whole thing: mysterious as hell, shiny, black. sleek and elegant.
\ndespite being seriously . . DIY.
\nnot to mention, now . . after some very sad mass slaughters, ‘politically incorrect’.<\/p>\n

the interview . . just posted on whitehot\/JULY 2013, is titled: <\/p>\n

‘IN CONVERSATION with ALFREDO MARTINEZ’ – by JOE HEAPS NELSON. <\/p>\n

it starts off great: “Alfredo’s career has encompassed as much drama, scandal, chaos, violence and insanity as any artist since CARAVAGGIO.”<\/p>\n

it hasn’t been “fact-checked” in the truest journalistic sense of the word, you’d need an army of street savvy grad students, and a few feds with classified access !! not to mention the NYPD, FDNY, FEMA & Homeland Security, and some truth serum left over from WWII – but the funny thing with Alfredo is . . the more off-the-wall the stuff is, that’s probably . . the true part !! <\/p>\n

as JOE says: “Is he larger than life ?
\nI don’t know bout that but I bet he’s larger than you.”<\/p>\n

grab a cold one & enjoy:<\/strong> ALFREDO MARTINEZ \/ whitehot . . medical references . . and all<\/a><\/p>\n

ps: when Alfredo refers to “gunsmithing” on a film set. yes, he did do that. he built ‘Mad Max’ type guns for a JIM JARMUSCH project . . ‘Ghost Dog, The Way of the Samurai’<\/a><\/p>\n

a lot of people consider this film one of Jarmusch’s best, and if you know the film, you<\/em> see Alfredo in the main character, not just the gun props. no doubt about it. <\/p>\n
