black and white and shiny all over<\/strong> – they are APEX predators, killing machines born to roam, and rule (!!) huge wide open sea territories. fierce as hell – and we lock ’em up in bathtub displays.
\nthat’s who we<\/strong> are. <\/p>\n

so who is JOSH HARRIS ?

\nhow to even begin to tell you – the many layers to Pseudo. how about an animal metaphor, you know like they do to explain things for small children, in the Bible ?<\/p>\n

\nSEAWORLD says it was a “collision with a tank wall” . . . but you can clearly see it was a bite. a big one, they found the missing ‘chunk’ – on the floor of the tank. yes, they did. you can easily see the teeth puncture wounds, arranged in tell-tale orca mouth pattern. just look at the orca who was hurt.

\nturns out the SEPT 17, 2012 – NYT ARTICLE by SINDYAN BHANOO was quite, as they say, PRESCIENT !!
\nif you read between the lines – it’s quite interesting, too.<\/p>\n

first off, orcas can live into their 90s, just like us, and no wonder they go crazy in captivity. this is not your average six month ‘insect’ life span.<\/p>\n

second, bottomline: they need their mamas !! yo, mama !!<\/p>\n

to protect<\/strong>, nourish, ‘coddle’ and comfort them – their WHOLE LIFE SPANS !! and instead they are placed into ‘bathtub’ scaled captivity – with other competitive alpha apex males.
\nno wonder things are going south over there in SEAWORLD. esp as these trained, caged … ‘pets’ age.
\nno wonder PETA – is having a fit. right on.<\/p>\n

the Times Science article goes on to say: <\/p>\n

“Humans<\/strong>, pilot whales and killer whales (orcas) are the ONLY known species in which females<\/strong> have a prolonged period of menopause – a time of life when they can not reproduce.”
\n(doesn’t mean, they don’t want sex, just saying . . . )<\/p>\n

“Now, a study in the journal Science reports the purpose that menopause serves in orcas: for females to care for their sons <\/strong> and make sure their genes<\/strong> are passed on to future generations.”<\/p>\n

“Females have a really unique life history . . . they stop reproducing in their 30s and 40s, but they can live into their 90s.”<\/p>\n

” . . . for males over 30, the death of a mother meant an eightfold<\/strong> increase in the likelihood of death within a year.”<\/p>\n

“Killer whales stick<\/strong> with their mothers their entire lives”. <\/p>\n

DR. EMMA FOSTER, a marine biologist at at EXETER UNIVERSITY in ENGLAND, omg, another – BRIT !! – “suspects that mothers help sons with foraging or offer protection<\/strong> in encounters with other males.”<\/p>\n

what the F, do the killer whales, in captivity . . read the NEW YORK TIMES ?
\nfunny that they should ‘act out’ – on the heels of that article, or what.
\nthink about it. information is just – not as liner as we think.
\nspecies interaction is not as straight forward as we think. and I bet neither . . . is the planetary stuff. <\/p>\n

\nPSEUDO was like the inverse – it had speed and flexibility. iyt was intangible. it was information. it was prophecy.
\nit was the web – before the web was even a day-to-day instant connection . . . for the masses. around the globe. <\/p>\n

WATCH YOUR BACK, NEW YORK CITY.
\nPseudo was a tech bubble in the making, but Pseudo also put out many deep roots, just like any ‘program’. any code.
\nthe art world c got caught up in Pseudo for sure, just as much the tech world.
\neveryone at Pseudo knew content, graphics, visuals, photographs, trends, culture . . . were gonna rule the wireless waves.
