the show runs thru NOV 13, 2010
CAROLINA NITSCH PROJECT ROOM – 534 W. 22 – CHELSEA, NYC.

The new season started – with a bang. Simon stumbled upon last night’s hottest opening – ‘DO NOT ABANDON ME – LOUISE BOURGEOIS AND TRACY EMIN’ – a series of 16 collaborative works completed during the past two years – on the walls – and accompanied by – a beautiful large-scale fully illustrated hardcover catalog.

Simon says: “Too bad Louise Bourgeois recently died – she would have loved the opening. Tracey was there in top form, sporting a sublime tan – that could put the Jersey Shore denizens to shame. Dressed to the hilt and surrounded by a glamorous European circle of friends – they were all British and French – she was in her trademark hard and soft, sweet and sour self. Ashely Bickerton put in a rare appearance, talking shop – with Gary Indiana. The gallery being a small space – was packed to the gills and over-flowing. It’s a beautiful show. Go see it.”
