our first glimpse of KRAMERS ERGOT 7 !! a huge anthology, both in size, 16 x 21 in. - meaning 42 in. (that's 3 and half ft. !!) across when opened !!, and in content - "including the work of over 50 of the world's most esteemed cartoonists" - the range is also hugely diverse - as can be easily seen on these first 2 random pages - KRAMERS ERGOT 7 "draws on the talents of established cartoonists, newcomers, elegant stylists, and unpredictable innovators."

at a table to the side - a schedule of the artists lined up to individually inscribe a limited edition 'bookplate' - a page to be inserted into the book - as a collector's item - when bought at full price thru BUENAVENTURA, and the Indie comics shops, on the KRAMERS ERGOT 7 tour !! ($125) (as opposed to Amazon online's somewhat discounted offering.) as a witness to the precision, diversity & wit !! of the talented signers - we'd say the 'bookplate' - alone was worth the price of the whole package !! when one considers the high end production values of the hardcover full color oversize & beautifully designed book - its easy to understand that DESERT ISLAND had already sold out their initial shipment of advance orders..

KRAMERS ERGOT 7 is a beautifully designed and produced hard cover book. It is oversize, 16 x 21 in. - but interestingly - just the right 'slim' thickness - for a nice feel in handling !! The 96 pages have a nice weight, and shine to them, too. and are in full color. The cover art is by SAMMY HARKHAM, who is the founder editor of the series. The comic art anthology is published by BUENAVENTURA PRESS out of Oakland, California. The full retail price of $125 includes a copy of the handsigned and numbered limited edition bookplate, when purchased through BUENAVENTURA PRESS, and at bookstores during the tour.
