although the openings couldn't be much farther apart in ambience - and, while the TONY JUST show consisted of pure painting, while SEAN DACK'S 'Ghost Hardware' presents purely digital photographic images, harvested from the web - there was a cool, color saturated graphic repetitive touch, dependent on small scale units - that became one - that resonated in both shows. the press release also says the show is about: "the cryptography of digital images and the unpredicted errors intrinsic to their transmission. Malformed and missing 'crucial' blocks of information belie the digital nature of our illusionistic virtual world: abrasive ruptures while watching a DVD .. " hence ... the solidly painted 'players'.
