 our first guests hail from the southwest - SAN FRANCISCO and L.A. - but, what sets these guests, apart is - looks like they wanna stick around for awhile. JACK HANLEY has just opened a NYC outpost, in TRIBECA !!
The inaugural opening, of his 3rd gallery, (the others are in S.F. & L.A.) - on Sat, Dec 1, 2007, was a small group show, titled 'SPARKLY DOLPHIN'- that's JACK HANLEY, on the right, with DOUG DOUGLAS, of DOUG DOUGLAS and THE ROAD AGENTS, a 2 person band, (at least to-nite), out of BROOKLYN.
'SPARKLY DOLPHIN' runs thru JAN 1, 2008 - think they were really happy to get the show up and running, before they had to split for MIAMI and the ART FAIRS. see: location/details

IAN CARPENTER was born in THAILAND, and "grew up overseas experiencing multiple cultures and their visual arts. Recollecting primary art influences from his early years, Carpenter vividly remembers various colorful paintings from the CARIBBEAN, where he lived as a boy".
IAN CARPENTER holds a BFA from SARAH LAWRENCE COLLEGE, and currently lives and works in New York.
