ANDREAS GURSKY, 'Kamiokande', 2007 - this is a neutrino particle accelerator, 12 miles long, and underground. the viewers are looking at the 2 small men in boats, bottom right of photo, which give some indication of the scale of the observatory. Mr. Gursky won't divulge how he manipulates his photos, but we managed to find out that there was some kind of error at the facility and they needed to drain it, so for the most part this is real, beyond that .... !, MATTHEW MARKS GALLERY, May 3, 2007
