JERRY FOUST aka JERRY MANSON the PISS CHRIST lives up to his nickname. ALFREDO MARTINEZ, the GREENHOUSE resident artist & guru, would just slough it off as.. 'performance art', but its one of the reasons, that GREENHOUSE, actually a wild hotbed of edgey creativity, didn't receive much p.r. support.

actually JERRY FOUST is a pretty talented artist & musician - he's kind of the anti-establishment poster boy for the totally commercial & career driven artworld of the first decade into this 21st Century. he actually looks a bit like Neil Young & can be quite charming, when he wants to be, but don't blink!

. . . believe it or not, JERRY FOUST was a 'babe magnet' - it was actually quite a shock to come upon this 'open-to-the-public' madhouse in the middle of posh, well groomed Soho, and a lot of unsuspecting highend shoppers, Eurotrash wannabes & Japanese tourists walked in .. and back out, real quick!

. . actually ALFREDO thrived in this environment, where he not only had a huge space to assemble his re-cycled scrap (that's scrap, not crap..) sculptures, and TOTAL absolute artistic freedom - but he could also crash in the basement; AND .. he was THE resident 'bonafide' artist and guru, a role he loves, and was able to play even when he was incarcerated among hardcore criminals at the BROOKLYN MDC (Metropolitan Detention Center) for peddling fake BASQUIATS.

of course, if you follow Alfredo's comings & goings, it wouldn't surprise you to learn that the place got shut down pretty much as quickly as the high end touristas came running out of there.
rumours immediately circulated that ALFREDO MARTINEZ was resurrecting his role of 'art guru' with a fringe artist collective that had a tour lined up in CHINA, of all places. ... could this be true, could Alfredo even get a passport, let alone a travel visa ?
