SASQUATCH SOCIETY opens, with great energy, a big group show, its mandate brought together a whole gallery full of work that was, off-the-beaten & well-worn conceptual track, with alot of fresh originality & new faces, inspiring an interesting review by KEN JOHNSON in the New York Times. SASQUATCH SOCIETY, Sixtyseven, July 28-Sept 3, 2005. (this is the card, click on the image for the full screen)

JULIE ANNE MANN, this sculpture was actually carved from a bar of DOVE soap. EUN-YOUNG CHOI, 'Hot on the Trail of Yeti', 2005, mixed media, on mylar. its hard to see in the photo, but the answer to the riddle: where is the Yeti?, was: if you look closely you can find him in a 'negative' field, in the background. SASQUATCH SOCIETY, Sixtyseven, July 28, 2005

NICHOLAS PARISI, did the ambient walls, looks like he used concrete, but it was obviously something a little more temporary. the price sheet, lists it as multi media, variable dimensions, price upon request, so I guess you could have him come do this to your place too, for a special occasion. It certainly contributed a unique dynamic to this show. SASQUATCH SOCIETY, Sixtyseven, July 28, 2005
